Looks like a lot of our newer members are interested in tips on car maintenance, so I thought we could start a list:
/ Ask questions - often times the lingo is purposely confusing, and two similar services will get priced very differently because one has a fancier name
/ Negotiate the right service for you - remember, maintenance and parts are where your dealer makes money (not selling you cars). So they will always try and upsell you
/ You don't have to go where you bought your car. In fact, many people drive miles for a good car deal, and then service it at their local shop. [Note: this makes me think that it would be great to have a list of recommended dealers and shops - I am adding a new section for it]
/ Any other tip?
